I. Discussion Items
Rationale:
1. Teacher Requisitions: The first round of 2014-15 requisitions are due on Friday, April 4th. Sally and I will go through the requisitions and get them ready for your building review. Mr. Droge will be installing filemaker on your computer so that we can begin the second round of requisitions from companies not included in the ESU competitive bid program. These items include textbooks, furniture, equipment, etc... from other catalogs.
2. Inventories: We are currently uploading our staff inventories into the new inventory program. Once the server is setup, we will open this to you and your staff. Inventories will be due prior to staff leaving for the summer. 3. NeSA Testing: NeSA testing begins this week at all levels. I applaud your work with your staff to prepare and motivate the kids to do their best on the exams. Best of luck to you, your teachers and students. 4. Staff Interviews: We are scheduled to begin interviews this week for Middle/High School Language Arts, Special Education, and Elementary/Middle School Physical Education. We will be running an ad in the Omaha World Herald for two weeks. We will be advertising Industrial Technology, Elementary Guidance and Counseling. If you want any other positions in the advertisement, please let Sally know by Thursday. 5. NCA Accreditation: Representatives from NDE were here to present the district with a plaque and wall hanging recognizing Schuyler Central High School for 100 years of accreditation through NCA. Of the 249 districts in the State, there are less than 20 that have that prestigious honor. They also presented Schuyler Community Schools with a plaque and wall hanging signifying district NCA accreditation. Congratulations to the school and community of Schuyler. 6. Strategic Planning: We completed our first round of meetings with the board committees and have identified timelines for the identified program targets. See information included on the meeting site. 7. Professional Development Forms: Mr. Reinsch asked about the professional development forms for teachers to update. These forms are located in the principal's office at each building. Teachers are expected to keep their professional development information up to date. If you have any questions about the forms, call Sally Jakub at the district office. |
