October 7, 2014 at 10:00 AM - Special Programs Meeting (SPED, Title)

Rationale:  1.  Food Service at Alternative Education (4R):  Mr. Gibbons shared that there were concerns about the food service program at 4R.  He will work with Barbara and Jeff Andel to resolve this issue.

2.  Behavior at the Alternative School:  We visited last Friday about a plan for implementing a more consistent discipline/behavior program.  Barbara agreed to develop a plan with consequences for inappropriate behavior.  This plan could include the implementation of Saturday School to makeup time missed for behavior.

3.  Special Services Director:  Dave Gibbons is our special services director.  This includes SPED program questions.  Principals should make sure to direct teachers/staff to Mr. Gibbons with program/student questions.

4.  Federal Programs:  The NDE website for Title will open on October 7th.  Dr. Hoesing will work with Mr. Gibbons and Mr. Grammer on submitting these grant programs.

5.  Crisis Intervention program:  Prepared Response will be here on October 15, 16, and 17 to begin putting our plan together.  They will be at the elementary on Wednesday afternoon, pre-tactical meeting with building principals, building reps, and first responders will be from 8:00 AM to 12:00 noon on Thursday.  They will be in the middle school on Thursday afternoon, and at the high school on Friday.
