Discussion:
Board Discussion: Fanning was concerned that this would add additional work for employees. Maris asked what the number of books that must be ordered because of Rule 10. Frecks reported that around 150 high school and 75 elementary books are required to be ordered. No one within the school district planned to order books with offensive language, and this policy would protect the district and the staff. Sandman shared a comment from a board member that asked why is the board creating a policy for someone who didn’t follow procedure in the first place.
