Geier reported that the new gym is being used and bleachers are working well. Samway's will be installing carpet tomorrow, 3rd floor is near completion, 2nd floor is completing the punch list, the elevator is still being installed, the concrete work is near completion on the north side of the addition, the weight room lighting is completed,

Discussion:
Geier reminded everyone that the construction project is moving along well and will be working on the 2024-2025 budget in the next few weeks. Keeping an eye on the legislative special session.

VIII.2. Principal Report
Discussion:
Word project funded K-3rd professional development program, training teachers to implement great strategies with ELA. Open House 8/26th for PK-12 with 6th grade orientation and 7-12 grades to complete paperwork. First day of school is 8/27 with early dismissal and all school drills. Frecks complimented the summer staff on their work and sports practice began today.

VIII.3. ESU 15 Report
Discussion:
ESU 15 will meet tomorrow at noon CT to approve handbooks, receive staff presentations, approve resolutions for training, and approve expenditures.

VIII.4. NASB Report
Discussion:
Friday, NASB conducted a special legislative session update virtually.
Area Membership Meeting is Tuesday, August 20th in North Platte Labor Relations Conference, October 2-3, Lincoln State Conference, November 20-22, Omaha Our session proposal was accepted to present at state conference. |
