Discussion:
Construction meetings have been held weekly to review and discuss building progress. The board discussed the handicapped parking issues and the temperature in the gyms. Handicap parking has been stressed as a top priority. The handicap parking spaces are in the plans and should be marked in the near future. The HVAC system in the school is not completely up and running at this point. The HVAC system will be balanced once all of the heat pumps are running. An American flag has been ordered for the new gymnasium. The board expressed their sincere appreciation to the staff at Boone Central, the community, and to the students and parents for their patience and understanding during this time. The construction project is progressing in a positive manner. A number of small items are still being finalized in and around the school building. |

Discussion:
The Finance Committee met to review the construction budget and to discuss remaining costs for the project. The total expenditures for the project are on target with the original proposed budget for the construction project. |

6.1. Elementary Principal

Discussion:
Elementary enrollment is 294 students (increase of 6). Arrival and dismissal procedures are going well. Mr. Feeney expressed his appreciation to Officer Lipker for his presence and assistance with traffic and drop off during the first week of school. The elementary handicap spaces and signage is a top priority and will be addressed as quickly as possible. |

Discussion:
Current enrollment at the middle school is 117. Mr. Schutt said that the school year was off to a great start. NeSA scores are currently embargoed, but should be available in October. The Nebraska State Board of Education approved the College and Career Readiness Standards for Science. We will begin reviewing the standards and working towards alignment. |

Discussion:
Current high school enrollment is 188. Stand for the Silent Assembly and Digital Citizenship Assembly are scheduled for our students. Glencoe Health Curriculum in place for secondary classes. Glencoe Health curriculum is an activities-based, high school, health program where teens find support for mastering important health content and skills. Through high-interest, real-life applications, they will learn to recognize and stand up to peer pressure, model good health behaviors, and develop solid decision-making skills that will last a lifetime. |

AD Report - Fall extra-curricular activities have all begun. Activity Participants: Varsity Football - 38, Varsity Volleyball - 25, Varsity Softball - 19, Cross Country - 19, Girls Golf - 5 The Newman Grove/St. Edward/Boone Central NSAA Cooperative and Interlocal agreements were reviewed and discussed. |
