Discussion:
Mr. Stopak recognized the staff and administration for the work that went into hosting the C-2 District Wrestling meet.

6.1. Elementary Principal

Discussion:
Mr. Theis noted that we had 98% participation at the Parent Teacher Conference held on February 6th. Upcoming events include Dr. Seuss Read Across America Week, February Rockin' Rally recognizing Respect, and Family Reading Night February 21st. Preschool applications for 19/20 are due March 4th.

6.2. Middle School Principal

Discussion:
Mr. Schutt noted that we had 75% participation at the Middle School Parent Teacher Conference. He recognized those students involved in the Boone County Spelling Bee and those who participated in MathCounts. Mr. Schutt reported that the Career and Technical Education teachers are working on Stage 1 of the curriculum review and that the Guidance Counselors are currently identifying their essential standards based on the American School Counselor Association standards. In addition, Mr. Schutt announced that he would be returning to Elkhorn Ridge Middle School to serve as the principal starting this next August.

Discussion:
145 (71%) high school students were named to the first semester honor roll. 11 choir students were selected for the UNL Honor Choir Festival. Stephanie Wright was recognized for becoming State Voice of Democracy Scholarship winner; she will advance to the finals located in Washington D.C.

Discussion:
Superintendent Hardwick updated the board on the water damage repairs in the art room; noting that the physical damage has all been repaired and that a majority of the replacement supplies have been ordered. The 2019 Thomas Freightliner bus was delivered last week; 1999 Bluebird was traded. Cost of the new bus, after trade, was $97,692.

Discussion:
The board returned to administrative reports; Superintendent Hardwick updated the board on the current job openings and outlined the process for hiring. Knott and Hardwick noted that conversations were held with the Boone Beginnings Committee about the possibility of the CKC Afterschool program merging in time.
