6.1. Madi Rankin - CKC
Discussion:
Lot of building renovations completed over the last 6 months. We are so thankful to the community and board for their generosity. Our goal in the last year has been to focus on family engagement by bringing our families into our building for activities. Another highlight is our reading corner from the Big Give event. Your generosity completely transformed our space. The Summer CKC Program will run from May 28th to August 2nd, $150/week full-time with a discount for multiple students, $90 for part-time. Enrollment will open March 1st at 9am.

Wellness will remain the focus as a pillar of the Cardinal Way |

6.3. Boone Central Recognitions
Discussion:
Knott- Mr Curry and all educators in the Middle School on well run student led Parent-Teacher conferences. This was my first experience participating as a parent with a middle schooler and I thought the format of the teacher discussions with the student and parent present was a great opportunity for all parties involved. If we can continue to strive for 100% participation at these conferences, I really think it will move the needle with some of our kids while building healthy relationships between parents and teachers. Also, hats off to Mr Perone, all coaches and volunteers on a well run district wrestling event. It feels like Boone Central has transitioned from hosting district events to hosting district experiences and each that we host continues to improve and develop. Roberts- Boone Central janitorial staff with the wrestling tournaments. We really appreciate their efforts. Stuhr- Amy Allgood, our girls golf coach who received the NSAA Champions for Coaches award for girls golf. The Champions for Coaches program was designed to honor active coaches who go above and beyond for kids and the community. Students, administrators, parents/guardians, and community members were encouraged to nominate coaches that have made a significant impact in their school and community. Fogleman- Everyone who volunteers for big events. We are so thankful for all of the help and everyone who steps up and does their part. Rolf- Events that we host and people who volunteer their time after hours. Schwartz- Tori Petsche and Jordan Classen as we begin to work through our spring ordering process. This can be something that is difficult each year and takes a lot of time and effort to organize. They have done a great job of communicating throughout this process and I look forward to the process. Larsen- All of our Guidance Counselors on the heels of School Counseling week, but specifically give a shout out to our High School Counselor, Mrs. Leanne Blanchard. She does a great job of being available to students to help them with their needs at any given time as they arise. Mrs. Blanchard works hard to help set up ACT testing for state testing purposes as well as a host for others each month. She also plays an integral role in helping to get all high school students scheduled into their classes each year. She is a team player and always has the best interests of all students in mind. Thank you, Mrs. Blanchard! Curry- Mr. Henn has been a wonderful addition to our custodial and middle school team. His positive attitude with students and staff allows him to build rapport while keeping our building looking great! We appreciate all he does for the students and staff at BCMS! Kayton- All of our elementary teachers. They did a great job communicating with parents to get parent teacher conferences scheduled. We opened it up to an all-day conference and they really appreciated being able to take some breaks throughout the day. Also thank you to Trina Hellbush for all of the hard work to run another successful book fair! Perone- We are thankful for the people who volunteered their time to help us put on our wrestling tournament. We make adjustments to make sure we continue to get these events and showcase our community. From our community members, volunteers, audio/visual, staff and students we are very lucky to have these events and the people who work them! |

6.4. Continuous School Improvement
Discussion:
Kayton- Math goal action plan definition is going to be in April at the ESU. We need our students to have GRIT or a productive struggle. We are utilizing the Cardinal Way Culture Game Plan with a kid-friendly version. We identified pillars of focus that we can apply from PreK to 12th grade. We have had a few highlights lately of engaging students across grade levels and will continue making Boone Central a great place to be for students of all ages.

6.6. Superintendent Report
Discussion:
Preschool will have to stay in session due to hours at the end of the year. Superintendent annual evaluation will be completed by the March meeting with an update. Clevertouch boards, we were able to get 2 more through the Big Give process. Strategic planning for ESU7- our feedback will be decided by our March board meeting and presented then. |

6.7. Principal & AD Reports
Discussion:
Larsen- P/T Conferences overall %: 2024 Spring = 51.05% ; 2023 Spring = 52.3%. HS Math position: Interviewed 3 Candidates, offered the position to Karsen Klooz (on agenda tonight). Looking to schedule some mock interviews for juniors in April in conjunction with our Career Academy Capstone Showcase Kayton- P/T Conferences: 98% attendance rate. Kindergarten Enrollment and Preschool Applications are now being accepted. Preschool Expansion Grant has been submitted for right at $50,000. This is a grant that you receive for three years. This grant would help cover curriculum, meals, snacks, all needed lunch supplies that will be needed for family style dining. We will not hear on whether or not we receive this grant until mid June.. At our January Rockin’ Rally we gave out MAPs testing awards. We looked for 10+ growth points in reading and/or math along with students finishing in the top 90% nationwide- we handed out just over 200 awards. 4 Teachers are piloting a new writing curriculum and it is going well!
