6.1. Boone Central Recognitions
Discussion:
Roberts- Thanks to the cooks for all the efforts they put into the meals. The lunch and Beef in Schools programs are going over well. Having good nutrition throughout the day for our children is so important. Frey- Mrs. Wright & Mrs. Paulson did a great job with the fall concert, the work they do to get kids ready to play is very much appreciated. Stuhr- The bus drivers for all the time they put into the routes and activities. Fogleman- Chelsea Gaunt for going above and beyond for the Health Science class and the new CNA program. Her partnership with BCHC has been extremely helpful to help our students know about different areas and become excited about Healthcare. With the new manikin and room at BCHC, I am excited to see the things for those programs! Rolf- I want to recognize Amy Allgood for all of her hard work and wish the girls luck at State Golf. McDonald- Fall Sponsors/Coaches/Student participants as their activities are coming to a close. Lots of hard work and dedication in all programs during the off-season has paid off for the success of our programs this year. The office staff for having a successful audit this year. Their commitment to ensuring the financial accounts are accurate and that we are compliant doesn’t go unnoticed. Job well done! Larsen- Ms. Pestel and Mrs. Spence have personified The Cardinal Way. From IEP meetings, to MDTs, to communication with staff members all while serving our students and school. They have selflessly committed to supporting everyone while exercising patience, respect, and always having perspective. Curry—Our student teacher, Marissa Morris, has done an outstanding job this year. She comes to class prepared, builds rapport with the kids in her classes, and she has even stepped up to help with volleyball. I’ve observed her teach multiple times, and she will make whatever district hires her very happy. She is the first student teacher from Dakota Wesleyan who was allowed to do her experience outside South Dakota. Miss Morris continues to be a valuable member of our Middle School family! Kayton- I would like to recognize our ERT team. A few weeks ago, we had an incident on the playground. The Emergency Response Team was quick to respond and remained professional while responding to the incident until Albion Fire and Rescue arrived. I would also like to thank and recognize Albion Fire and Rescue for their quick response. I appreciate their dedication to the safety of our students and staff. |

Discussion:
Dr. McDonald discussed 2024-25 financial reports, which include the current cash on hand, expenditures and revenue. The 2023-24 audit was completed at the end of September, the audit firm will provide a report next month. The district has two new 10-passenger vans, and has traded in one minivan. Need to schedule a building and grounds meeting to go over Mr. Imus' maintenance report. The boilers are up and working, that project is complete. The IT department is working on the website. Negotiations meeting will be scheduled soon. The elementary playground gate does not allow for emergency response vehicles and snow removal, so a larger gate will replace the current one. The early childhood committee will meet and go over the preschool policy.
