6.1. Boone Central Recognitions
Discussion:
Knott- Mr. Ray, Mr. Zoucha, and the softball team. They had a good season! First time ever winning a conference championship! Roberts- Congratulations to the Softball Team for their successful season. Frey- Beef in Schools: Niewohner brothers donated the beef. They are good supporters who have supported this program since the beginning! Stuhr- The golf coaches and team. Congratulations to them! Rolf- Amy Allgood, Karsen Klooz, and the girls golf team for making it to State this year. I want to recognize a wonderful job this season. Look- I would like to recognize everyone involved with our fall activities! There are a number of people who work to make them successful, including students, coaches, sponsors, workers, custodial staff, admin, along with several others. Overall, they have had a great season! I would also like to recognize Mrs. Kayton and the elementary staff for their work on Grandparent's day last month. They all put in a lot of time and hard work organizing, planning, and running the event. Great job! Larsen-I want to take the time to recognize Ms. Paulson and Mrs. Wright as well as the Band, Full Chorus, Women’s Chorus, and Barbershop groups. Not only did they put on a wonderful Fall Concert, the students and these teachers have been present at activities playing in the Pep Band as well as marching at weekend events. Keep up the good work! Curry- This morning, I would like to recognize the middle school staff who coach fall sports. Coaching is an incredibly important and demanding responsibility. Coaches often put the needs of their teams first, even when it means missing the opportunity to watch their own children compete. They do an outstanding job building meaningful relationships with their athletes and making a positive, lasting impact on kids. Scott Carlin (FB); Stacy Petersen (XC); Miles Ray (SB); Josh Majerus (FB); Carsen Choat (VB); Jen Molt (VB); Karsen Klooz (Golf) Kayton- I’d like to recognize our Elementary MTSS Leadership Team which includes (Angie Flinn, Tenille Wegener, Tami Wiese, Brooke Ritterbush, Aimee Albers and myself). Last Thursday, our team presented at the MTSS State Summit after being invited by our regional lead to share the work we are doing at Boone Central. We shared how we use data to make informed decisions and support students across Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3 in reading, math, and behavior. We had over 100 participants in attendance, which was exciting! I’m proud of this team for their commitment to using data to guide decisions and, most importantly, doing what is best for our students. Perone- absent |
