Discussion:
The Board Retreat was called to order at 5:02 p.m. at the Early Learning Center.

II.a. Board Goal 1 - Student Achievement
Discussion:
Mr. Lenihan reviewed Goal 1 with the Board. Mr. Lenihan also showed the Board MAP scores and stated that MAP testing will take place in the fall and spring for the 2016-2017 school year. The character development program and teacher evaluation and appraisal process was discussed.

Discussion:
The Board discussed short and long-term facility and finance goals for Wayne Community Schools.

Discussion:
Mr. Lenihan stated that the Foundation has been doing a great job with activities. Communication has increased by using FaceBook and Twitter along with the District newsletter. Additional ideas were discussed to improve public involvement.
