Discussion:  We are not looking to close the present preschools in Wayne. After meeting with them teachers learned that the ELL prek students are growing. Is the state going to help schools fund a PreSchool? Will it be equal funding to all school? WE would be looking at, Criteria, ell, 3 & 4 year olds. What would the curriculum look like? PreSchool students need the tools to start Kindergarten. WE do not have the space for preSchool. There is mandator criteria to start. looked into WSC partnering or other preschool all day or half days Do we choose to limit what we are doing presently such as updates to our facilities and hiring speciality teachers and there isn't allot of extra fund to possible having allot of money to fund and early childhood program. WE know there is a need for a preschool we need a bond for 10 million Public schools are responsible for all children in the district. 81 children are enrolled in kindergarten in 2014-15 6 at St.Marys and 2 prek We would have to have a person incharge of the preschool build something with the space to expand in the future. need to talk to Jay Spearman- bonds talk with City Council and public for and open meeting regarding preschool, get school fiances. will gather Finacial information for the July board meeting
