Bill, Kim, and Abby Plouzek, a junior at Dorchester were present. Also present are Superintendent Daryl Schrunk, Principal Adrian Allen and Linda Woolsey.

7.1. Principal's Report
Discussion:
Mr. Allen presented information from Administrator Days in Kearney held July 25-27. New staff members Audrey Schutte in HS English, Robin Musil in Spanish/ELL, JeNae Kort in HS Math and Steve Jirsa in Music. The first day of school is Wednesday, August 15th. DeMoine Adams will address the school that morning. Upcoming events are the fall sports preview on Thursday,. August 1th and Scrimmages on Friday, August 17th.

Discussion:
Mr. Schrunk presented a building update and information on Administration Days in Kearney held on July 25-27. 2018-2019 Teacher In-Service days are Monday-Tuesday, August 13-14.

Discussion:
Mr. Schrunk presented information on the proposed 2018-2019 budget for all District funds.

Discussion:
Mr. Schrunk reviewed Policy #5066 Early Graduation. Bill, Kim and Abby Plouzek presented their support of BOE Policy #5066 Early Graduation to enable individual aspirations outside of high school. Abby would like to graduate in December 2019. This would allow her to start her post-graduation studies and sport participation in the spring of 2019.After discussion, the Board asked Mr. Allen to gather some additional information. This is the first reading of the policy.

Final Reading of Board of Education Policies: #5035-Student Discipline, #5037-Student Internet and Computer Access, #5054-Student Bullying, #5057-District Title I Parent and Family Engagement Policy, #6021-District Criteria for Selecting Evaluators to be Used for Special Education, #6031-Emergency Exclusion, #6036-Reading Instruction and Intervention Services, & #3190-Inventory of Equipment.

Discussion:
KSB Law has updated the pricing thresholds for the federal procurement tiers in each of the affected policies. No other changes have been made. So, these are just revised policies that we have already in place regarding purchases using federal funds.
