7.1. Principal's Report
Discussion:
Principal Jake Wiese shared information from the beginning of the year meetings (mentor system, L.E.A.D. recognition system for secondary students). An assessment calendar was created and MAP testing changes were discussed. Mr. Wiese presented his PK-6 certification update. DPS Teacher In-Service was held on September 8th focusing on remote learning, curriculum mapping and teacher observation process. Mr. Wiese shared some COVID-19 updates. Upcoming events include Homecoming September 25 (school pep rally, bonfire Sept. 23, dress up days, dance (no out-of-town guests); and Parent Teacher Conferences on September 30 (1:20 student dismissal) and October 1 (PD for teachers in PM).

7.2. Superintendent's Report
Discussion:
Superintendent Daryl Schrunk presented the negotiations committee needs to meet by November 1st. Information was shared on the Nebraska Reading Improvement Act. The Adopt-a-door program is on hold for now due to the coronavirus. The NASB State Education Conference is scheduled for November 18-20 in Omaha.

Discussion:
Mr. Schrunk presented an updated Board policy #2006 - Complaint Procedure. Board policy #3057 - Title IX is a new policy. Additional training on Title IX will be upcoming.
