President Zoubek called the meeting to order at 7:02 pm. School personnel present were Superintendent Mitch Kubicek, Principal Duane Dohmen, and Joyce Karl.

*Red Ribbon Week - Mr. Dohmen recapped activities
*November 1st was the Elementary Excellence Rally. 47% of the students had perfect attendance and gave a brief explanation of activities. Longhorn of the Month students were recognized with students singing Proud to be an American.
*Habitudes - a series that would help develop character and grow leaders. Possibly to pilot next semester.

Discussion:
A meeting will be held Monday, October 28 at 7:00 pm with the Board and teacher negotiations committees.

Discussion:
The construction for drainage improvement has been completed.

7.3. Wellness
Discussion:
Students are working on several ideas to improve the number of students eating breakfast and starting a walking club.

Discussion:
*Mrs. Niemoth was recognized by the Shine Project.
*81% of our parents attended Conferences.
*Number of students failing or about to fail decreased drastically over the last two years. 9th hour has been credited along with improving instructional practices (principles of learning, walkthroughs, instructional rounds, video self-reflection, and design pilot evaluation).
*Red Ribbon Week will begin on October 23.

*Math Rtl - K-6 students are assessed; we will be conducting monthly Math Data Meetings.
*Legal updates.
*NASB Fall Conference in Omaha on November 21 and 22.
*Andy Nichol has been hired as the new wrestling coach.
*Interviewed bus driver applicants.

Cooping with Milford for additional activities such as basketball in 2014-2015 was discussed. Tentively plan to hold a community forum on Monday, November 18, 2013 @ 7:00 pm in the library.
