President Steve Vyhnalek called the October board meeting to order at 8:00 p.m.

Also present are school personnel Superintendent Daryl Schrunk, Principal Adrian Allen and Linda Woolsey. Carol Schnell arrived at 8:50 p.m.

7.1. Principal's Report
Discussion:
Principal Allen presented the Parent Teacher Conference overall participation of 75%, results of Homecoming week and classroom observations. Mr. Allen attended an ESU6 meeting on PLC's, Collaborative Teams and Data Meetings. Upcoming events include the end of the 1st quarter on October 18th, Youth Night at the October 18th football game, Excellence Rally on October 25th, Football Parent's Night on October 25th, Conference Volleyball on October 19-22 in York.

7.2. Superintendent's Report
Discussion:
Superintendent Schrunk presented information on negotiations. Mr. Schrunk has been working with KSB Law on a new certified contract. On November 4th, there will be a Senator's Panel at ESU6. Superintendents and board presidents/vice-presidents are also invited. Mr. Schrunk, Carol Schnell and Kelli Schweitzer will be attending the NASB Fall Conference November 20-22. Facility future plans were reviewed. Discussions are just beginning with the Village of Dorchester on the possibility of sharing the cost of new bleachers for the baseball and football fields.

8.1. Discuss Evaluation of Superintendent.
Discussion:
Mr. Schrunk distributed an evaluation form to each board member present to be used for his formal evaluation in November.

8.2. Review Board of Education Policy #3040-School Safety and Security.
Discussion:
Mr. Schrunk and President Vyhnalek presented the first reading of policy #3040 - School Safety and Security to include Option 2 in Memorials. Carol Schnell arrived at 8:50pm.

8.3. Review Board of Education Policies #4039, #4046, #4053, & #4054.
Discussion:
Mr. Schrunk presented policies #4039 - Family Military Leave, #4046 - Review of Potential Employees, #4053 - Conflict of Interest and #4054 - Reporting Abuse or Neglect. No changes were necessary.

8.4. Review meal prices and anticipated reimbursement.
Discussion:
Mr. Schrunk presented information on the expenses and reimbursements for lunches.
