1. Call to Order and Announce Open Meetings Act Verification
Discussion:
The November board meeting was called to order by President Steve Vyhnalek at 7:00 pm with all members present. President Vyhnalek confirmed the advance notice to the public of the meeting and agenda. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited.

Also present are Superintendent Daryl Schrunk, Principal Jake Wiese and Linda Woolsey.

7.1. Principal's Report
Discussion:
Principal Wiese presented information on recent events of a Longhorn Line-Up on October 14th, Early Dismissal on October 15 and a lockdown drill on October 21. The 1st quarter ended on October 22nd with Excellence rallies held on October 29th. The Jr. High play "Snow White Light" was held on November 2nd. Mr. Wiese attended the NCSA Region 1 Meeting on November 3rd. A Principal Advisory Council was started this year with one student from each grade 7-12. K-6 Professional Development Day was held on November 8th. Mr. Wiese presented some comments on the Nebraska Framework External Visit held November 9-10. Additional information on the visit will be shared next month. The November Longhorn Line-Up wrote letters to veterans. The letters were given to veterans attending our Veterans Day program on November 11th and others were mailed. Upcoming events are Health Screening for students on November 18th, early dismissal for professional Development on November 19th and early dismissal on November 24th for Thanksgiving Break. Winter sports will begin with JH Basketball on 11/30, HS Basketball on 12/2, JH Wrestling on 11/8, and HS Wrestling on 12/4. The elementary Christmas concert is December 6th. Mr. Wiese will be attending the State Principal's Conference on December 9th-10th.

7.2. Superintendent's Report
Discussion:
Superintendent Schrunk shared information on Net Option Funding and the Nebraska Student-Centered Assessment System (NSCAS). Bidding will be submitted for the track covering for the recently completed concrete work done on the practice track.

8.1. Review Board of Education Policies #2010-2016.
Discussion:
Mr. Schrunk reviewed the following policies: #2010-Board Meeting Preparation, #2011-Membership in Organizations, #2012-Board Code of Ethics, #2013-Violation of Board Ethics, #2014-Relationship with Attorney and #2016-Participation in Insurance Program by Board Members. No changes are recommended at this time.

First Reading/Review of Board of Education Policies #2009-Public Participation at Board Meetings, #4063-Extra duty and extended contract payments, #6004-Curriculum Development, #6013-Teaching Controversial Issues, #6020-Multicultural Education, and Early Retirement Incentive Program (E.R.I.P.).
Discussion:
Mr. Schrunk discussed the following policies: #2009-Public Participation at Board Meetings, #4063-Extra duty and extended contract payments, #6004-Curriculum Development, #6013-Teaching Controversial Issues, #6020-Multicultural Education, and Early Retirement Incentive Program (E.R.I.P.). This is the first reading of these policies.

Mr. Schrunk distributed the Annual Audit from Mierau & Associates. Further discussion will be held next month.

8.4. Committee on American Civics
Discussion:
Mr. Schrunk reviewed 79-724 Committee on American Civics. He also shared Dorchester Public School's curriculum, which meets the requirements of the law. There was no public comment at this time.
