1. Call to Order and Announce Open Meetings Act Verification
Discussion:
The regular board meeting was called to order by President Steve Vyhnalek at 7:00 pm with all board members present. He confirmed the advance notice to the public of the meeting date and agenda. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited by all.

Also present were Principal Jake Wiese and Jen Feeken. Superintendent was present via zoom.

Mr. Cogswell discussed that next month the board will need to vote on whether or not to let a new school into the Conference.

9.1. 2024-2025 Calendar
Discussion:
A draft of the 24-25 school calendar was given to board members to look over.

9.2. State Career and Technical Education Funding
Discussion:
The State with the passage of LB 814 provided each school district with additional funding for our Career and Technical Education Funding. Dorchester Public Schools received $7,500 to use towards our CTE Programs.

9.3. 2023-2024 Annual Report
Discussion:
The board was presented with the Rule 10 District Annual Report.

9.4. Review Board Policies - 6004, 6005, 6006, 6007, 6008 and 6009
Discussion:
This item was tabled until the next board meeting.

9.5. Safety Visit (Rule 10)
Discussion:
Mr. Cogswell shared some information from Dr. Norm Yoder's safety visit that he conducted on December 12th. He also shared pricing on wall pads for the auxiliary gym.

9.6. 2024-2025 Board Member Election
Discussion:
Incumbents must file before February 15th and Non-incumbents must file before March 1. Shelly Lehr, Kelli Schweitzer, and Mike Hatfield are up for re-election this year.
