3. Bid Opening
Discussion:
Tuesday, May 3, 2016 @ 2:00 pm Loomis Pubic School - Office of the Superintendent
Offers will be opened publicly.
Form of bid: Stipulated Lump Sum, Single Prime Contract

4. Examination of Existing Site
Discussion:
A tour was taken following the pre-bid meeting. Contact Superintendent Hardwick to arrange other visits.

5. Bid Security Requirement
Discussion:
5% of the Lump Sum Bid Amount, check or Bid Bond payable to Loomis Public School
|
6. Performance and Payment Bond Requirement
Discussion:
Due not later than 5 business days after execution of the Contract by the Owner. 100% of the total amount of the Contract.

7. Insurance
Discussion:
Coverages are indicated in the General Conditions, Article 11. Property Insurance provided by Owner.

8. Sales Tax
Discussion:
Contractor will not pay sales tax on materials purchased.

9. Work Sequence

11. Product and Manufacturer Substitution Requests
Discussion:
Due to the Architect 7 days prior to the bid date. Approved substitutions will be added by addenda. Requests not included in addenda are not approved.

12. Addenda
Discussion:
The Architect does not intend to issue any addenda within 2 working days of the bid opening time and date.
Two addenda planned.

13. Submittals
Discussion:
All submittals (RFI's, shop drawings, daily construction logs, etc.) will be electronic through Submittal Exchange. Actual samples should be mailed or delivered to the Architect. GC's are to include the cost for Submittal Exchange site in their bids.

14. Temporary Facilities
Discussion:
The Owner will provide and pay for electrical power and water. The Contractor is to provide and pay for all temporary lighting, heating and cooling, and ventilation required for construction purposes.

15. Barriers/Enclosures
Discussion:
Protect areas outside of construction limits from being disturbed. Erect temporary partition walls as needed.

16. Parking
Discussion:
Parking will be available near the school building for vehicles and equipment trailers.
