4. Discuss, consider and take all necessary action with regard to school closure due to the COVID-19 virus.

Discussion:
Custodians are cleaning all lockers, classrooms, etc. Staff is asked to work some the week of March 23 to prepare/distribute packets of school work for our students. Certified staff will be paid teaching salaries in full. Weight room will remain open until a case of COVID-19 virus is diagnosed in Phelps County, the community is not allowed to walk or excersize in the rest of the building.
Discussed the teacher openings, applications Mrs. Cox asked if the 4th grade could check out Chromebooks to use to educate her students. The school has 20 Chromebooks. There just are not enough for all the students. Discussed the plan to serve meals to students. The next regular board meeting may be streamed to the public, the board will likely meet in person. |
