1. Milford Public Schools Board of Education Information
More Information:
Mission Statement - Milford Public Schools will prepare all students to be successful citizens: Our Mission is fulfilled when all students read with comprehension, speak and write clearly, compute accurately, reason logically, understand and appreciate the fine arts, apply suitable strategies and habits of mind to solve problems, utilize technology to communicate and to understand information and behave morally.
This agenda contains a list of subjects known at the time of its distribution. A copy of the agenda reflecting any changes will be available for public inspection during normal business hours in the District Office. Except for items of an emergency nature, the agenda shall not be altered later than twenty-four hours before the meeting. The Board reserves the right to alter the order of items, as it deems necessary. |

More Information:
This is the public’s opportunity to speak to items on the agenda. This is also the public’s opportunity to speak to any topic concerning the school district – since it is not an agenda item the board cannot discuss or take action on the matter at this time. Future discussion can be requested as an agenda item. To be recognized, all participants must complete the Request to Address the Milford Board of Education Form. No complaints regarding specific staff members will be heard during a public meeting. The District has established separate procedures for complaints against individual employees. Thank you for your participation. |

4.1. Pyramid Model - Positive Behavior Supports for PreSchool by Mrs. Hartman and Mrs. Albers
Discussion:
Mrs. Hartman and Mrs. Albers explained the Nebraska Early Childhood Pyramid Model Initiative.

4.2. Administrative Reports
Discussion:
Elementary Principal: Mrs. Hartman recognized student achievements. She discussed parent-teacher conferences, the Staff Pumpkin Painting Contest, Reading Classic Team, Eagle Singers, and SOCKTOBER. She commended Mrs. Roth and Mrs. Volkmer with their work with Teammates. She shared that Mrs. Kremer was honored for her service to the K-Kids organization.
Secondary Principal: Mr. Mowinkel shared a written report recognizing student and team achievements. He also included information on the following: Professional Learning Communities, College and Career Access Day, parent-teacher conferences, fall sports seasons, On to College ACT Prep, County Government Day, and college visits. Director of Learning: Dr. Kubicek shared a written report on student assessments and the October 21 teacher in-service. Superintendent: Mr. Wingard included the NASB monthly update. He discussed November meeting topics. He pointed out upcoming NASB and NRCSA trainings and future meetings. |

Mr. Wingard gave an update on the elementary and high school additions.

4.5. 2019 Adjusted Valuation Report
More Information:
On or before October 10 of each year, the Nebraska Department of Revenue, Property Assessment Division (Division) determines the amount of "adjusted value" for each school system for purposes of the school aid formula. The Division prepares a certification report for each school system which itemizes the 2019 unadjusted valuation, levels of value, adjustment amounts, and adjusted valuations for each county and each school district within the local school system.
An information sheet on adjusted valuation and our breakdown of adjusted valuation are both attached to the agenda.

President Welsch discussed the NRCSA meeting he attended. He updated the Board on items being discussed in the legislature and other meetings he has had.

5. Board Commentary
Discussion:
Ned Pauley inquired about the Crestview building. Tony Roth shared that the 4th, 5th, and 6th grade football team made he championship football game and have had an undefeated season. He thanked the school for their support.
