Mission Statement - Milford Public Schools will prepare all students to be successful citizens: Our Mission is fulfilled when all students read with comprehension, speak and write clearly, compute accurately, reason logically, understand and appreciate the fine arts, apply suitable strategies and habits of mind to solve problems, utilize technology to communicate and to understand information and behave morally.
This agenda contains a list of subjects known at the time of its distribution. A copy of the agenda reflecting any changes will be available for public inspection during normal business hours in the District Office. Except for items of an emergency nature, the agenda shall not be altered later than twenty-four hours before the meeting. The Board reserves the right to alter the order of items, as it deems necessary. |

This is the public’s opportunity to speak to items on the agenda. This is also the public’s opportunity to speak to other non-agenda topics concerning the school district - since it is not an agenda item the board cannot discuss or take action on the matter at this time. The District has established separate complaint procedures for any complaints, including complaints and concerns against individual employees. Discussion:
Elementary Principal: Mrs. Hartman discussed class lists and summer school.
Secondary Principal: Mr. Mowinkel included a written report discussing the 2022-23 master schedule; 2022-23 activities/athletic calendar; and summer school. Director of Learning: Dr. Kubicek discussed the NDE requirements for NSCAS testing; the math department discussions on mathematics standards; and the new Exploratory Pathway partnership with SCC. Superintendent: Mr. Wingard included NASB's Monthly Update. He included a written report discussing the district checking account; free lunch for all students that was not included in the federal budget; and explained the new LB 644 (postcard law) requirements for budget and tax request hearings. He pointed upcoming NASB trainings and future meetings. |

The total mileage is currently at 120,742 miles. This is 17,306 miles more than last year. Extra-curricular activities had the largest increase at 8,230 miles. In 20-21 we still had some events not take place or they were held virtually. At the bottom of the mileage report there is a report on fuel expenditures. here is the information:

Certified staff absences is at 1,187 days. This is an increase of 471 days. Sick days increased by 155 days, personal by 108 days, professional days by 97 days, and activities by 80 days. We spent $161,255 on substitute teachers.
