Mission Statement - Milford Public Schools will prepare all students to be successful citizens: Our Mission is fulfilled when all students read with comprehension, speak and write clearly, compute accurately, reason logically, understand and appreciate the fine arts, apply suitable strategies and habits of mind to solve problems, utilize technology to communicate and to understand information and behave morally.
This agenda contains a list of subjects known at the time of its distribution. A copy of the agenda reflecting any changes will be available for public inspection during normal business hours in the District Office. Except for items of an emergency nature, the agenda shall not be altered later than twenty-four hours before the meeting. The Board reserves the right to alter the order of items, as it deems necessary.

This is the public’s opportunity to speak to items on the agenda. This is also the public’s opportunity to speak to other non-agenda topics concerning the school district - since it is not an agenda item the board cannot discuss or take action on the matter at this time. To be recognized, all participants must complete the Request to Address the Milford Board of Education Form. The District has established separate complaint procedures for any complaints, including complaints and concerns against individual employees. As such, the Board requests that this complaint process be followed before discussion with the Board takes place. Thank you for your participation. |

Discussion:
Elementary Principal: Mrs. Hartman discussed Back to School Night and the new 2022-23 Eagle's Nests.
Secondary Principal: Mr. Mowinkel discussed fall sports; the "Weather Globe" devices NSAA has provided each school; upcoming jr/sr high school activities; "The Best First Day Ever", KSB Law presentation; and On To College ACT Prep. Director of Learning: Dr. Kubicek discussed NSCAS and MAP assessments; opening in-service days; and the reVision Grant. Superintendent: Mr. Wingard included the opening staff in-service schedule and NASB's Monthly Update. He discussed NCSA Administrator Days and the mudjacking at the high school. He thanked Dr. Kubicek for all of his work with state assessments. He pointed out upcoming NASB trainings and future meetings. |

Student enrollment numbers are changing daily. The elementary numbers are changing by the hour and I was going to keep updating but will just wait until Monday night.
Attached are our numbers as of Friday morning. K-6 is at 430. This is down by 6 students since May. 7-8 is at 137. This is up by one student since May. 9-12 is at 222. This is even from May. Other numbers: 95 students option into MPS, 29 option out of MPS, and we have 77 students that are home schooled in our district.
