Mission Statement - Milford Public Schools will prepare all students to be successful citizens: Our Mission is fulfilled when all students read with comprehension, speak and write clearly, compute accurately, reason logically, understand and appreciate the fine arts, apply suitable strategies and habits of mind to solve problems, utilize technology to communicate and to understand information and behave morally.
This agenda contains a list of subjects known at the time of its distribution. A copy of the agenda reflecting any changes will be available for public inspection during normal business hours in the District Office. Except for items of an emergency nature, the agenda shall not be altered later than twenty-four hours before the meeting. The Board reserves the right to alter the order of items, as it deems necessary. |

This is the public’s opportunity to speak to items on the agenda. This is also the public’s opportunity to speak to other non-agenda topics concerning the school district - since it is not an agenda item the board cannot discuss or take action on the matter at this time. To be recognized, all participants must complete the Request to Address the Milford Board of Education Form. The District has established separate complaint procedures for any complaints, including complaints and concerns against individual employees. As such, the Board requests that this complaint process be followed before discussion with the Board takes place. Thank you for your participation. |

Discussion:
Elementary Principal: Mrs. Hartman discussed the fifth and sixth grade fun night; parent-teacher conferences; and the "Swamped" concert.
Secondary Principal: Dr. Mowinkel congratulated the wrestlers and girl's basketball team on great seasons. He discussed archery; speech; Omaha Fashion Week; parent-teacher conferences; spring sports seasons; college visits; JH Musical Festival; the Fine Arts trip; statewide ACT; the Career and Technical Education state competitions; the junior high musical; and senior meetings. Director of Learning: Dr. Kubicek discussed that MAP is no longer being provided by NDE in the future; the March 11 in-service; and summer school. Superintendent: Mr. Wingard discussed the board election information from the State of Nebraska and his Texas A&M experience. He thanked the board for meeting with Dr. Kubicek. He pointed out upcoming NASB and NRCSA trainings and future board meetings. |

More Information:
Attached is our proposed 2024-25 Master Calendar we have been discussing. The major change in this version is moving the Booster Club Track meet to a Friday in April from the traditional Tuesday.
Graduation will need to be discussed again. District baseball is scheduled for our graduation date next year.

6.2. Review, Consider, and Take All Necessary Action on 2024-25 Option Enrollment Requests
More Information:
We are recommending the 2024-25 option enrollment requests for the 7 kindergarten students that we have received requests for.. We currently have 39 students enrolled in kindergarten for 2024-25. These approved requests will put our enrollment number at 46. We have 3 or 4 families still undecided on enrollment for 2024-25.
At this time, we cannot accept the option enrollment request for the 7th and 10th grade due to the projected total enrollment at the 7-12 building. We are currently projected to be 30+ above our set student population level.
