Discussion:
The meeting was called to order at 6:03pm.

1.1. Recognition of Public Notice of Open Meeting
Discussion:
President Mrkvicka stated that notice of the meeting was properly published in the Phonograph Herald and/or in 3 public places, per policy. |

1.2. Recognition of Posted Notice of the Open Meetings Law
Discussion:
President Mrkvicka noted that the Open Meetings Law is posted on the wall of the meeting room. |

2.1. Business
BVH presentation
Discussion:
Darin, Cleve and Brian from BVH were present to continue discussions of the options for for the 3 story building, including demolishing it and building new, vs a hybrid solution involving remodeling the 3 story building plus adding on to the current building. Jason Meinecke joined the meeting at 6:08pm.
The priorities of the Board were: having a building that could last 50-100 years; leaving the preschool at the Heritage building; creating a new Elementary entrance; and creating a modern, main entrance with a cafeteria/commons area, increasing the size of the cafeteria; and possibly remodeling/upgrading the kitchen. Some other ideas that came from brain-storming were improving the shop area, improving the Science rooms/labs, and consideration of a multi-purpose area that could also house a stage, etc., for the Performing Arts. |
