1. Call to order and recognition of public notice of open meeting and notice of
the posted Open Meetings Law
Discussion:
President Mrkvicka called to order this Special Meeting of the St. Paul Public School District #1, at 5:11pm, on January 30, 2015. The meeting was held at Riverside Country Club, in Grand Island, NE, for the purpose of the Annual Board Planning Retreat. He recognized proper publication of the meeting notice in the Phonograph-Herald, and noted that the Open Meetings Law is posted on the wall of the meeting room.

1.2. Review results of Board Self-Assessment for 2014
Discussion:
The Board reviewed results of the 2014 Board Self-Assessment, and discussed areas where improvement may be needed.

1.3. Review 2014 Board Goals
Discussion:
The Board reviewed the 2014 Board/Administration goals. All goals were met with the exception of scheduling board retreats. Many goals are ongoing, and progress has been made but will need to continue long term.

1.4. . Establish 2015 Board /Superintendent/Administration Goals.
Discussion:
The Board and administration established 2015 Board and Administration goals, after hearing the report from the administrators. The goals will be finalized and formally approved at an upcoming meeting.

1.5. Report from Administration
Discussion:
The superintendent and principals discussed areas of progress and areas for improvement, from their perspectives. These will be considered when goals are set.
