February 26, 2018 at 6:30 PM - Buildings and Grounds Committee Meeting

Discussion:  Members present include: Bruce Scheer, Luanne Sundberg, Jessica Scheer, Lynn Johnson

Discussion:  Luanne Sundberg shared information that she obtained from a session on strategic planning at the state education conference last week.  The committee had lengthy discussion on the desired results and the most beneficial method of producing the desired results.  The committee is committed to obtaining quality information in a timely manner.  Lynn was tasked with contacting two facilitators to be interviewed by the committee.  

Discussion:  The committee was presented a quote from Omaha Stage Equipment that would replace the stage curtains as well as repair and update the hardware associated with the stage curtains.  The curtains are in poor repair and some of the hardware/mechanical elements are not functioning.  The committee discussed refinishing the floor and painting the stage to compliment the new curtains.  These are much needed improvements.  The committee will move forward with a recommendation to the board but will wait to see if we can obtain additional bids before finalizing the recommendation. 

Discussion:  The committee discussed and made updates to the summative needs list. 

Discussion:  The committee will be recommending the purchase of stage curtains to the board within the next couple of months.
