1. Hearing Called to Order and Roll Call

2. Public Hearing:
2.1. Discuss, Consider and Receive input on the District's 2014-2015 Budget.
Discussion:  Mrs. Johnson presented and explained the Notice of Budget Hearing and Budget Summary. She covered changes made to the final budget documents being presented in this hearing as compared to the documents presented at last month's Patron Budget Workshop. The money levied into special building fund is targeted for items on the Summative Needs list that includes HVAC and roofs. Mr. Sibbersen explained that years ago he recalled that monies left from a budget year were subtracted from the following years tax asking and asked if that was still the practice. Mrs. Johnson explained that the current budget forms don't make that possible. Mrs. Rhea asked questions about why the bond fund was higher than previous years, why is there such a large increase in general fund, and she expressed concerns that the board continues to tax dollars whether it is used or not.
2.2. Discuss, Consider, and Receive Input from Public on the 2014-2015 Tax Request.
Rationale:  General Fund Property Tax Request: $5,901,056.51
Property Tax Rate: $1.028529

Bond Fund Tax Request: $510,282.32
Property Tax Rate: $0.088940

Special Building Fund Tax Request: $115,906.06
Property Tax Rate: $0.020202

Discussion:  President Dwyer closed the Budget Hearing at 7:20 p.m. and opened a hearing on the Tax Request. Mrs. Johnson shared information concerning the tax levy being requested and responded to a patron question about whether the state has regulations on the levy, tax asking request, and budgets.
