February 22, 2016 at 5:30 PM - Board of Education Special Meeting

Discussion:  The meeting was called to order by Kipp Haight at 5:31 p.m.

Discussion:  Clark Enersen personnel presented information as a final document review for Bennet Elementary. Information included but was not limited to site review and included the layout of the south parking lot and drop off area. Fire Marshall recommendations were reviewed it was noted that much of the requirements were already assumed in the building plan and is aided by the addition of sprinklers. The heating and cooling elements for the addition were shown along with the alternate bid for the gym AHU. Lighting overview included a one for one LED replacement of existing lights as an alternate bid, the addition of emergency lighting as required and lighting in the new classroom addition. The data cabling will also include an alternate bid to replace existing wiring in current classrooms. Interior finish products included a variety of carpet styles and colors, resilient tile in the commons and ceramic tiles in restrooms including large format tiles for the existing restroom walls.

Discussion:  The Board assigned drafting of the agreement between owner and contractor to Rex Schultze.

Discussion:  The current build out for the south parking lot calls for demolition of the house south of the school. Pre Bid March 14 and bids will be due March 31.

Discussion:  The Building Committee provided an update to the RFP process and established interview times for the Owner's Representative.
