3.1. Presentation, discussion and or official action with regard to bids received on March 31, 2016, for the construction of additions and renovations to the Bennet Elementary School building located in Bennet, Nebraska (the “Project”).
Action(s):
No Action(s) have been added to this Agenda Item.
Discussion:
Tim Ripp provided information on the bids and felt that coverage was excellent. BOE members offered questions regarding the bids and various contractors and scheduling as well as the bid alternates. The Board complimented Clark Enersen on the design process.

3.2. Presentation, discussion and or official action regarding building construction and design decisions and determinations.
Discussion:
Mr. Hanger updated the BOE regarding demolition of the house in Bennet. Personnel from Clark Enersen provided information for the Board regarding plans for Palmyra mechanical, electrical, telecommunications, and site. As a result of the East addition Clark Enersen has changed the entrance circle to avoid the drainage area to the East. The site plan also proposed to add a drop off lane south of the existing gym. The West side of the school was also discussed as an accommodation the new gym. Clark Enersen will be scheduling a meeting with the Palmyra village. The BOE reviewed proposals for interior finishes including flooring. The new gym space was discussed and will feature a number of innovative and distinctive features. Both new and remodeled classroom spaces were reviewed in electronic format.
