3.1. Strategic Planning presentation Dr. Dlugosh
Discussion:
Dr. Dlugosh presented members of the BOE with information regarding the strategic planning process. Board members reviewed the goals established by the advisory committee and the final version presented by the editing team. The process to accept or decline goals and action plans was presented. Action planning teams composed of 5-8 people with representation from the Board was recommended. |

3.2. Board of Education Self Evaluation
Discussion:
The Board reviewed areas of strength and those identified for growth and improvement in discussion including but not limited to Board Qualities (visible in the community, regional conferences), Board meetings (devotes time to setting policy and not administrative matters, informed about agenda items), Policy and Planning, (understands its role as a policy making body, long range planning) Board Community (advocates district positions with political leaders). |
