Board President Desh identified the location of the updated Open Meetings Act information.

3. Discussion Item: Construction Processes

Discussion:

Discussion included information about the different construction delivery methods available to the board for the upcoming building expansion projects.
Mr. Aldridge presented information on the Design Bid, Design, Bid, Build, and Construction Manager At Risk processes.
The discussion also focused on required board policies, possible project timelines, vendor contracts, Contractor Selection Committee requirements, Request For Proposal (RFP) specifics, and time frames for the bidding for future projects and work agreements.
No board action was taken on this discussion item.
The board discussed taking action on a construction delivery method at the next Special Board meeting scheduled for Thursday, September 29th, 2022 at Palmyra High School. This meeting is scheduled to begin at 7:00 p.m.

4. Next Regular Meeting

Discussion:

A Joint Public Hearing is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. on Monday, September 26th in Syracuse at the Fair Center Building regarding the 2022-2023 district tax request. The public is invited to attend.
The next Special Board meeting is scheduled for Thursday, September 29th, beginning at 7:00 p.m. at Palmyra High School in the media center. This meeting will include action items related to the district budget, the district tax request, board policies, the selection of a construction delivery method, and information on bond issuance.
The next regular board meeting is scheduled for Monday, October 10th, beginning at 7:00 p.m. at Palmyra High School in the media center.
