Public Meeting Minutes: September 11, 2023 at 6:30 PM - Board of Education Special Meeting: CMAR Update

1. Call to Order

Discussion:

Board President Desh called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m.

2. Announcement of the Open Meetings Act Posting

Discussion:

Board President Desh identified the location of the Open Meetings Act Poster on the wall in the meeting room.
- Please note that no changes to the Open Meetings Act occurred during the latest Legislative session and the current Open Meetings Act inform

3. Construction Manager Progress Report

Discussion:

CMAR progress report was led by Mr. Craig Gies (BIC Construction).
A list of the items discussed and updated at the meeting is listed below:
- Bennet Elementary School
  - Update on playground area and equipment
  - West addition update
- Current Items to accomplish:
  - Steel and precast concrete are scheduled to arrive near the end of September.
- Palmyra Jr. / Sr. High School
  - Update on concrete forms and walls
  - Update on the lower garden level.
- A more detailed summary document of items discussed is now attached to this agenda item.
  - Please note: This item was attached after the meeting.

4. Action Items

4.1. Presentation, discussion, and or official action with regard to the construction projects at Bennet Elementary and Palmyra Junior/Senior High School buildings, including change orders, construction change directives and payment applications from contractors, and reports, information, and recommendations by the Project Architect and Owner's Representative (CMAR).
