Discussion:
Allison Engelman gave a report on recent student activities.

2.2. Principal Report
Discussion:
Principal Mezger was not in attendance but provided the Board a written report. The report included information on a recent threat assessment workshop that was held via zoom, MAP data, Parent-Teacher Conferences, and School Improvement agenda items.

2.3. Review School Calendar for 2021-2022
Discussion:
Superintendent Meyerle provided the Board a copy of the 2021-22 school calendar for the Board to review.

2.4. Reaffirm administrative requirement of wearing masks inside school buildings and on buses until further notice.
Discussion:
Superintendent Meyerle noted that there were only a few schools in the ESU 5 district not requiring masks, and that he began requiring them inside the buildings on October 12. He noted how masks can prevent a whole group of students in a school setting having to quarantine.
The NSAA will require masks to be worn at all inside postseason events, and will require them outside when distancing is not possible. |

Discussion:
Superintendent Meyerle noted that the Ag classes were finishing some landscaping work on the southwest corner of the school.

5.1. Superintendent Report
Discussion:
Superintendent Meyerle reported that he is serving on the NSAA Caucus Committee for Class D. There are two members for class A, B, C and D.
He also reported that School Boards Convention was upcoming in November should members want to attend. He noted that the school has had numerous situations of students needing to quarantine due to family members testing positive for COVID-19. The school had its first COVID positive case in the buildings this week. Superintendent Meyerle noted that the protocols of masks, hand washing, sanitizing, disinfecting and distancing when possible would be reinforced. The school wants to be able to continue in person learning and not have to rely on learning from home as was done last spring. |
