1. Declaration of Intend – Open Meetings Act
Discussion:
A Special Board meeting of the Sumner-Eddyville-Miller School District Board of Education will be held on Monday, May 23, 2022, at 5:30 P.M., in the School Library, 205 East 2nd Avenue, Sumner, NE 68878

2. Call to Order
Discussion:
Notice of the meeting was posted on May 19, 2022 in the Villages of Sumner, Eddyville and Miller and posted to the SEM Facebook Page, and on the school website, that a special board meeting is to be held on May 23, 2022 at 5:30 p.m. Availability of the agenda was communicated in the published notice. All proceedings hereafter as shown were taken while the convened meeting was open to the attendance of the public. This meeting was conducted in accordance with the Open Meetings Act, Chapter 84, Article 14 posted in the School Library. President Chris Reiter opened the board meeting at 5:30pm

Discussion:
Questions were asked by members of the board about options that are available to educate the students of SEM. Mr. Finkey provided the board with three options. Concerns about filling the position were discussed.
Distance learning, Long term substitute, or new teacher are options moving forward, if the resignation is accepted. Mrs. Anderson voted NAY |
