Superintendent Dr. Cory Worrell reported to the Board of Education on the ALICAP safety award; construction update; voice over internet protocol phone system; Hamlow geothermal HVAC system; August 11 new teacher orientation at Waverly Middle School; all staff breakfast August 14th at Waverly High School sponsored by Foundation for Education; first day of school 6-12 students is Wednesday, August 16th; first day of school K-5 students is Thursday, August 17th; Technology Director Position; additional elementary teacher; Board / Superintendent goals; and Educational Service Unit 5 Powerschool Interlocal Agreement.

Policy Committee Chair Bruce Sedivy reported on upcoming policies that the committee will review. Buildings, Grounds, and Transportation Committee will meet on Tuesday, August 8, 2017 at 6:00 P.M. Planning and Development Chair Andy Grosshans reported on the committee meeting held during the month. Performance and Assessment Committee Chair Jessie Zuniga reported on the committee meeting held during the month. Board Member Cheryl Landon reported on the School Law Seminar attended during the month.
