September 8, 2020 at 7:00 PM - Board of Education Regular Meeting

Discussion:  The Nebraska Legislature changed the requirements for holding Budget Hearings.  The Budget Hearing can be held the same night as the regular Board Meeting but can not be a part of the regular meeting.  The hearing can precede the regular meeting but there can be no time limit placed on the hearing.  Anyone that wants to comment on the budgets can comment on them.  There also needs to be three copies of the budget document in the room.  I will have three copies on Tuesday night for the public.  The law also changed and now we need to have a short budget presentation.  I will discuss the attached documents that meet the intent of the new legislation.  The hearing can then be closed.  The budgets can be approved as a part of the regular board meeting after the conclusion of the budget hearing.
