Dr. Haley presented the student fees schedule for 2019-2020 school year.
Technology fee of $35 for Ipad usage. No public comment on this item. |

Dr. Haley presnted the parent involvement and Title 1 policies.

5.1. MS/HS English Language Arts Teachers - ELA Curriculum
Discussion:
Mrs. Ludwig and three other Language Arts teachers came and told the board about the ELA curriculum "My Perspectives".
State recommends schools look at the ED reports for all grade levels. This was done with the ESU. This would be a 6 year purchase for the district at the middle/high school level, and aligns well with the state and ACT testing. |

6.1. Principal Reports
Discussion:
Mr. Zessin discussed with the board about how we, the governing body, are engaged in the school district's improvement efforts.
Our Superintendent and our 2 school principals attended the NEE Evaluations (Network for Educator Effectiveness). This training is detailed and research based rubrics for dozens of indicators that builds a great data based storage for continued improvement. Has many Personal Development plans for professionals. |

6.2. Activity Director Report
Discussion:
Aub Boucher talked with Phil Watts about the crows nest project for new steps that are safer. He had a second bid, but has not heard back from him.
Wood River will join GICC and GINW for a three school coop for soccer. Both boys and girls that will be Class B. Dr. Haley, Mr. Zessin and Mr. Boucher met with Shelton public on JHVB, JHFB, and JHGBB. Uniforms will be Black and White jerseys with Wood River-Shelton on them. Kent Ropers of Shelton will be the Head Coach of the JHFB, Dwight and Mason will be the assistants from Wood River. |

Discussion:
Dr. Haley talked to the board about the Stick Creek kids project to date.
Our board will form a committee to meet with the Stick Creek kids group and work on some ideas. We have a couple bids out for property insurance and workers comp. |
