7.4. Superintendent's Report
Discussion:
Everyone is invited to attend graduation on Saturday, May 12.
Greg Long, EHA Representative, presented to staff on March 29 about the possibility of adding a high deductible plan to our current 900 plan. The Master Contract already includes the negotiation of a single 900 plan, which has been the only option for staff. Adding a second plan, 1500 plan, would provide a second choice at a lower premium price and a heath savings account. There is no cost to the district to add the second option. A plan will be developed to gauge the interest level of staff as it could be available in January 2019. Mr. Rose, Mr. Marsh and Ms. Bastian are looking at 7 different STEM / Technology grant applications to determine if RC would be eligible. MTSS stands for Multi Tiered Systems of Support. The MTSS team attended the first of many MTSS workshops which was a great day of learning and we are excited for implementation for the 2018-19 school year. We need to stop asking if a student is responding and start asking if our current system and what we, as adults are doing, is working for all of our students. It is an integrated academic, behavioral, and social emotional support system with a strong emphasis on prevention. We completed a self-assessment and will begin working on an action plan for implementation. |
7.4.1. Goal #1- Develop a visible presence within the schools, the school community, and state.
|
7.4.2. Goal #2- Develop a 5 year facilities strategic plan for implementation that addresses maintenance and improvements for existing building assets.

7.4.3. Goal #3- Develop a thorough understanding of Nebraska School Finance and the Raymond Central budgeting process.
|
7.4.4. Goal #4- Develop an understanding of existing internal and external district communications and develop strategies to improve transparency and messaging.
