1. Call to Order and Pledge of Allegiance
Discussion:
President Gould called the meeting to order at 4:00 PM and the Pledge of Allegiance was said.

2. Motion to Excuse Board Member's Absence
Discussion:
All members were present.

3. Open Meeting Law
Discussion:
The audience was reminded that the Open Meeting Laws would be followed.

4. Public Forum
Discussion:
Nine people addressed the Board in regards to students wearing facemasks. Speaking against a student mask mandate were: Monica Siebrandt, Jill Tran, Dan Wolfe, Chris Hoffman, Aaron Haake and Crystal Haake. Speaking in favor of a student mask mandate were: Bradette Varilek, Maureen Brase-Houchin and Wren Houchin.

5. Discuss, consider, and take all necessary action on the recommendations outlined in the letter to the District from the Lincoln/Lancaster County Health Department, dated August 5, 2021, regarding the COVID-19 pandemic and return-to-school planning and determine whether to immediately implement said recommendations, including the requirement that students and/or staff to wear face coverings, and/or take other safety precautions, restrictions or requirements in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Discussion:
Discussion was held regarding the COVID-19 pandemic, return to learn planning and whether student and/or staff masking should be required. Motion by Burklund, second by Matulka to follow the Raymond Central Safe Return to School Plan as is, making face coverings optional at this time. The District is prepared to adapt its plan if the situation changes and case numbers spike. RCV 4-2 (Yes-Breitkreutz, Burklund, Lange, Matulka; No-Blanchard, Gould). Motion carried.

Discussion:
Motion by Matulka, second by Lange to adjourn the meeting at 5:12 PM. RCV 6-0. Motion carried.
