1. Call Meeting to Order
Discussion:
Matt Sullivan called the committee meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. Committee members present: Matt Sullivan, Jason Jensen and Matt Bargen.

2. Purpose of the public committee meeting is for hearing support, position, criticism, suggestions or observations of patrons relating to the activities of the Committee on American Civics.
|

3. Committee meeting/reports
Discussion:
Mr. Kobza reviewed the requirements of Committee on American Civics and where the committee is in regards to completing the requirements. Social Studies curriculum is being addressed by the subject area committee and the CLI process and will be fully implemented in Fall of 2020. Standards and assessments will be developed. Social Studies subject area committee will make a recommendation as to how to comply with the portion of the law requiring either completion of a citizenship test or a paper following attendance at a meeting of a public body. The current senior class will be completing a paper. Additional curriculum requirements were reviewed and the subject area committee is reviewing our compliance.
