5.1. Teammates
Discussion:
Local Teammates members Chris Johnson, Scott Kinkaid, Russ Koehler, Kyle Stevens, Jane Wilbeck, Michelle Korth and Daren Vanness were present with Sue Kennedy and Hannah Miller the communications director for Teammates. Ms. Miller provided The Board with statistics of mentors and mentees as a result of the Teammates program. Currently Wausa has 22 teammate matches, consisting of 5th graders through Seniors in our school.

5.3. Community Leaders Meeting #1
Discussion:
September 3rd the Wausa Community Group/Committe/Board Leaders Collaboration Meeting was held at Commercial State Bank. Mr. Hoesing provided The Board with information from the first meeting. The Board held discussion on the roles each of these groups play in our communitee and the strategic planning they are hoping to accomplish along with them.

6.1. Superintendent
Discussion:
Mr. Hoesing provided his superintendant report to The Board. Mr. Hoesing commended our MTSS (multi-tiered student support) team consisting of Allie Bloomquiest, Kristen Frevert, Brenda Leader and Amanda Boyle, for their hard work with this program. He also asked The Board if the music chimes fund could be used for new drum heads per Mrs. Sedivey, The Board felt that would be fine since they are both percussion insturments.

6.2. Principal
Discussion:
Mr. Hoeing provided Mr. Higgins' principal report. Walk to Read program is underway.

6.3. Activities Director
Discussion:
Mr. Hoesing provided Mr. Conn's AD report. Homecoming was last week, Melanie Vanness was crowned Queen and Ethan Baue was crowned King. The football team looked great Saturday afternoon, Ethan Baue had 7 of the 10 touchdowns. Addison Smith place ninth in the Norfolk cross country meet. Mr. Conn recently scheduled in some junior varsity volleyball games.

Mike Kumm requested that recess for 5th and 6th grade be looked into. Mr. Hoesing said that we should as a board take that to the Americanism committee to review.
