Clerk Dick called Roll Call to establish a quorum: Chair Knuth, Asst Chair Kroos, Trustee Uden, Trustee Ehly and Trustee Higel were present to form the quorum. Others present: Village Superintendent- Casey Hughes, Village Clerk/Treasurer- Shelley Dick, Pool Manager- Christian Kroos and Resident- Jeff Edmondson

Discussion:
After discussion by the board, they feel there have been no problems within the village with fireworks. Proposed Ordinance No. 557-2023 for Fireworks Definition, Fireworks Permitted and Sale of Fireworks was repelled.

10)d) Discussion: New Office Building
Discussion:
The board discussed several options as to where to put the new village office. Trustee Ehly suggested that an appraisal be done on a lot option so it is done if this lot is chosen in the future.

Discussion:
Clerk Dick told the board that there are 186 pet licenses for the year, which is over double the 2022 dog licenses.

Discussion:
Casey Hughes, Village Superintendent, asked the board if he could purchase a Jack Hammer because it costs $80.00/Day to rent one.

11)f) Discussion: Park Bathroom Vandalism
Discussion:
Casey Hughes, Village Superintendent, explained to the board the vandalism at the village park bathrooms. The water fountain on the outside of the bathrooms was broken and one of the bathrooms was flooded. He told the board that everything was fixed except the water fountain.

11)g) Discussion - Approve/Deny: Horse Arena
Discussion:
Clerk Dick explained to the board that the village insurance agent suggested that No Trespassing signs would cover the village if anyone gets hurt while on the horse arena property without having a current Kenesaw Saddle Club membership. Jeff Edmondson spoke to the board about possibly putting in at least four lights and new bleachers in the upcoming 2023-2024 budget. Currently, there are no lights and the bleachers are in horrible condition. The board asked Clerk Dick to get prices for the lights and bleachers.

12) OTHER BUSINESS:
Discussion:
It was brought to the board's attention that the Port-a-Potties by the ballpark looked very tacky. The board discussed this and asked that the bathrooms be reopened and the Port-a-Potties be removed. Also, the board was informed that the swimming pool is in need of new lights because of safety hazards.
