Discussion:
Principal's report was given by Mr. Seth Ford. Currently we have 101 students in the 7-12th grade. Thank you to the Lions Club for volunteering to run the Mobile Screening Unit. Teacher in-service was held at the end of August. Agenda items covered in this meeting were students issues and possible interventions we are implementing. Fall sports seasons have started for all activities. VB is undefeated, CC are making personal records each week, and the FB team won last weekend. Cross country numbers are high enough we needed to utilize an assistant coach since they have to use two vehicles to get to meets. MAP testing is complete with the exception of some makeup exams. ACT for last year's junior is set for Tuesday Sept. 22nd. One last ACT prep training class will be held next Monday, Sept. 21st. GRIT lessons started recently and have been about positive relationships with classmates and teammates. We have honored the students on the honor roll from the 4th quarter of last year with brownies and ice cream. Eligibility lists ran last week and communication with parents involving phone calls and or letters began. ZAP program is still going everyday at lunch. This includes work time before eating. MAC meetings were held August 25th. Items covered at this meeting included COVID discussions, set schedules for the year. We are hosting MAC Volleyball this year. We have ordered new scoreboards to be installed in the Brule Gym, funded with grant money. A meeting with Deuel County Diversion Coordinator and Sheriff's office was held. This year Homecoming has moved to the week of Sept. 14-18th in case something changed with COVID restrictions. Dr. McConnell has started meeting with students and families. The Teammates program will no longer be held due to decreased numbers of patrons available to participate. All Jr. High teams played their first games today and won all contests.

VIII. Superintendents Report
Speaker(s):
Mr. Spencer
Discussion:
Superintendent's report was gen by Mr. David Spencer. Elementary school currently has 112 students enrolled. Preschool is non school affiliated, but has 20 students attending as well. 4th graders have built volcanoes this past week in science. MAPS testing will start soon, Dibbles is completed and plans will be made to help students showing a need. All students enrolled in K-12 will receive free breakfast and lunch August 14 - December 31, 2020 through the SFSP. Dr. McConnell and Kristie Chessmore have been in the building weekly. We have been in discussion with the investing company about the possible changes in Bond Funds. Training for the ES bookkeeper is progressing. There was a radio station that solicited local businesses for sponsorship of a calender. This was done without school permission so the company was contacted regarding these calenders. Wheatbelt Public Power has made some donations to the school recently and we have met with them to see what they can do to be more involved in the school. Budget work has been making progress over the last weeks. There have been some COVID updates with the recent changes to the phases of Panhandle Public Health. All precautions that were implemented at the beginning of the year will remain in effect. We did apply for and receive CARES grant funding.
