VII. Principals Report

Discussion:
Principals report given by Mr. Ford. Topics discussed were: ACT results, end of the first quarter of school, GRIT lesson, ASVAB testing, Midwest Electric Science Day, Veteran's Day Program, Red Cross Blood Drive, Bowling and One Act Seasons. Britany Lofton qualified for the state CC meet. HS FB team finished 4-4, JH VB finished 12-1, JH FB finished 5-1. HS VB team qualified for state for the first time in school history. Bowling records have been broken 3 times already this year. MAC VB was a big success, thank you to everyone that helped out. Mariah Koenen was named student of the quarter. 81 students were on the honor roll and honorable mention for 1st quarter. Current topics of classes were discussed. Academic All State results have been posted: VB - Marian Koenen, Autumn Dickmander; FB - Colton Moorhead, Ethan Reichman, Girls CC - Brittany Hensley, Britany Lofton, Boys CC - Riley Adams, Dashle Richards. MAC VB All Conference Awards are out: 1st Team: Autumn Dickmander & Kerstin Brown, 2nd team - Lauryn Stanley, Honorable Mention - Avery Hayward & Mariah Koenen.

Discussion:
Superintendent's report given by Mr. Spencer including concern of the charter bus, the gym floor, insurance claims and building repair, COVID concerns, and happenings in the elementary school. The top eight recyclers in the elementary school are Annlyn Wilson, Emalee Armstrong, Safron Fanning, Marshall Bonander, Audrey Moorhead, Tyler Armstrong, Mason Howell, Liam Marquez. The 6th grade was the top recycling class. A total of 1672# were entered in the contest.

XI.A. Brule Gym rental agreement

Discussion:
Discussion was held regarding renewal of the contract with the Brule Community Center Association for the rental of the Brule Gym. By having two gyms this will allow all practices to be complete by 6pm.

XI.B. Bond Refinancing
Discussion:
Brad Slaughter from Piper-Jeffries addressed the board in regard to refinancing the bond. The board will be presented with a resolution and can take action when allowed to the best benefit of the District if they decide to make a change. The board agreed to ask Mr. Slaughter to prepare the parameters agreement for the bond refinancing to the best advantage of the tax payers.
