VIII. Principals Report

Discussion:
Principal's report was given by Mr. Seth Ford. Ratings from NDE were released, both the school and district are in good standings. Winning the Moment has been the GRIT lesson. Fall sports are wrapping up. Congratulations to Brittany Hensley for making State in Cross Country. The last football game for the regular is this Friday against Cody-Kilgore. Parents night will also be this Friday for Volleyball and football. Congratulations to High school volleyball for receiving 2nd in MAC Championship. JH Volleyball also received 2nd in their MAC Conference. District Volleyball will be next week in Ogallala. Parent-Teacher Conferences were held on September 25. Homecoming was held October 4th. Engineering class went and cleaned up the pond. On October 23rd the Midwest Electric will be at South Platte to demestrate the students. Juniors took the ASVAB test. Unified Bowling season is about ot start. A Big Thank you to Jason Cheleen, Brent McClung, Mr. Spencer, and Kacey Huff for the new scoreboard installation. Working through staff evaluations. Student of the quarter will be selected later this week. Honor roll will be getting ice cream and brownies later this week.

Discussion:
Superintendent's report was given by Mr. David Spencer. Submitted the school budget to the state. The annual financial report is due November 1st to the state. We have been busy working on the new coding system. The new scoreboard is up and running due to lighting hitting it. Catherine Ruhlman from ESU #16 worked with the teachers on SAT programs and helped with Title 1 reading program. Been working on evaluations in the elementary. Mr. Spencer passed out an updated roster. South Platte currently has 197 students attending. Ben Mikelson, an author came to South Platte last week to present to 3rd to 8th grade about bullying.

Mr. Spencer presented a bid for new bleachers from Heartland Seating and new stage lighting from famous stages. The new freezer is here and will be getting is set up this week. The lights are here for the band room.
