VII. Principals Report

Discussion:
Principal's report was given by Mr. Seth Ford. Presentations by MidWest Electric and Tri State Electric were held during a science day. The Red Cross blood drive was held last week and they had a good turnout and there was enough donors to qualify for a scholarship. GRIT lessons on Consistency and Habits have been happening during lunch hours. Bowling 28 participants are half way through the season. The One Act Community Performance tomorrow night at 6:30 in the gym. FFA contests have begun. Connect the Dots Career/College Program will be held in Garden County on Nov. 26th for freshmen and sophomore students. Basketball begins conditioning this week and practice begins next Monday. ACT Prep classes with Cervelle Company has been going over the last month. Scores and results from the ASVAB tests will continue with the students that have taken this test. Kristie Hill is Student of the Quarter for the first quarter. Honor Roll for 1st Quarter included 59 students. The annual Veterns Day Program was held today. Art class will attend an exhibit at the Denver-Nature and Science Museum. The exhibit is on the science behind Pixar. Dist VI and AD meetings were held in Kearney. There are potential changes to 6 man football. Voice Of Democracy Contest Winners: 1st Dash Richards, 2nd Bradyn Miller, and 3rd Gracie Hinkle. Patriots Pen Contest Winners: 1st: Autumn Kasten, 2nd: Kaylee Kizer, 3rd: Kristie Hill

VIII. Superintendents Report

Mr. Spencer
Discussion:
Superintendent's report was gen by Mr. David Spencer. Mr. Spencer attended AdCo meeting learning about high quality instructional materials for our students. The Code Red student notification system is no longer an option for our district. A new school notificaion system called Messenger has been priced. There is an initial cost that pays for setup and then two years with a yearly maintenance fee. There are grant applications being written for needed upgrades in our school system. Recent field trip that have been taken are the 4th grade trip to the Flowerfield one room school house and the 6th grade touring Gerald Gentleman Plant. Mr. Spencer has recently attended a conference on anxiety disorders and will present information in the near future to the board. November 20-22 is the State Education Conference which Board Members and Mr. Spencer will be attending.
