Discussion:
Mr. Nick Brost gave the principal's report. It has been a busy month! Congratulations to Mrs. Jacobs and her students on a great 5-12 Spring Music performance.Thank you to the Assembly of God Church in Big Springs for hosting the Senior Breakfast. Congratulations to all students who received academic, athletic and activity awards. Thank you to Denise Moorhead, Jenna Hill, Mark Lane, Dustie Doncheske, April Estrada, Renee Folchert and Booster Club for their hard work and preparation for the Awards Banquet. South Platte hosted MAC Golf @ Bayside. Thank you to Mr. Kotschwar and Mr. Bartels for all of their work in organizing the contest. Thank you to Bayside Golf for allowing the MAC Schools to use their facilities. Congratulations: JH Boys and Girls Track teams, both placed 3rd at the MAC Track Meet; HS Girls Track team- 2nd at MAC; Best of the Midwest Track: Haily Koenen-3rd in Shot Put, Cavin Lanman, 4th in 800, Naila Ford, 8th in Long Jump; Adams Bank and Trust: Student of the 4th Quarter: Paola Lopez; and Adams Bank & Trust Student of the Year: Haily Koenen; NCPA Academic All-State Honorees Girls Track: Maddi Cheleen, Haily Koenen: Boys Track: Naythen Brown, Cordell Frerichs: Music: Madison Johnson, Emma Spiehs - Golf: Aleah Blochowitz, Quinten Koenen. Discussion:
Mr. David Spencer gave the superintendent's report. He updated on ESSR funds; staff openings; staff in-service; school safety trainings, school wide learning trips; music programs; Preschool Graduation; K-6 track meet; K-2 end of year lunch hosted by Mr. Spencer, K-4 Music program. May 18th is the official last day of school. Trudy visits the school. He thanked Mr. Kotschwar and Mr. Bartels for their dedication and years of service. Join us for a Celebration of Retirement and Service on May 18 - 4-6 PM.

IX.A. Cell Phone Policy
Discussion:
The board discussed the cell phone policy. The results from the committee will be given to KSB for KSB to integrate with the existing KSB cell phone policy. The new policy will replace the existing handbook policy.

IX.B. Wellness Policy: Triennial Review
Discussion:
The board discussed the local wellness policy, compliance with USDA wellness policy, the Triennial Assessment Review and survey results. The results will be available to the public at the district office.

Discussion:
The board discussed the South Platte GPA. The GPA Scale will be updated in the 2023-24 handbook.
