Discussion:
COMMITTEE REPORTS: Education: The Nebraska state school board meeting registration is open. Transportation: The bus has had some diagnostic tests while other vehicles had oil changes. Building and grounds: The weight room door is in the process of being repaired. Snell services is the process of repairing several items for us and the electrician will be repairing lights. The vape detectors are being tested and expected to be installed soon.

Discussion:
Mr. Nick Brost Principal's Report: Cordell Frerichs gave a Student Council update of STUCO happenings, including homecoming. Upcoming events planned are celebrations around Red Ribbon week, Bully Prevention month, and a pumpkin decorating contest. The Buddy Program has 75% high school participation, which is 20% higher than projected and allows K-3 to have buddies. Mr. Brost congratulated: JH Volleyball and the 3rd place finish at MAC, Madison Cheleen, Bradyn Miller and Dashle Richards for their selection as Currency Believers and Achiever Local Winners; September Students of the Month: Monroe Duncan, Audrey Moorhead, Isaac Hoaglund, Jillian Frerichs, Cordell Frerichs, Madison Cheleen. Special Thank you to Booster Club, Cheer team, Knight Vision, and Student Council for a successful Homecoming Week and to Mrs. Doncheske, Mrs. Moorhead, Mrs. Cheleen, Mrs. Scherbarth and Mrs. Folchert for help with the homecoming parade. Thank you to Jenna Hill, Mark Lane, Nic Dehning and Don Baker for maintaining the grounds and to Jenna Hill and Mrs. Detmer for designing and painting school emblems on the football field for Homecoming. Mrs. Duncan and Mr. Brost met with Sashanah from Imagine Learning on the implementation of an online English curriculum. Upcoming events: Oct 20: End of First Qtr, Oct 24: Sub district VB, Oct 27: first JH Wrestling Banner Co, Nov 30: 2024-25 Football Declaration Due.

Officer Holloway's School Resource Officer Report: His schedule is slowing down and he expects to see more of the students and to be more available.

Discussion:
Mr. David Spencer's Superintendent's Report: Mrs. Babst gave an update on the Sixth grade learning projects in her classroom. Mr. Spencer shared the staff in-service training was by psychologist Dr. Luke McConnell and his staff, Kristi Chessmore and Alexis Erickson about self-harm, suicide warning signs and general mental health. The school improvement leadership team is gathering information for the accreditation meeting in April. The Pilot Flying J Grant has been received for $10,000. The school safety talks are completed for grades 5-12. Mr. Spencer is registered to attend the October 27 iloveyouguys training session. The buddy program is off to a successful start.
