Mr. Nick Brost's Principal's Report: Congratulations to Nathan Jacobs for finishing 9th at the Dundy County Cross Country meet. Congratulations to the August Students of the Month: Saffron Fanning, Carsyn Brown, Emalee Armstrong, Chloe Jacobs, Oscar Ornelas, Madison Johnson. Mrs Barnhart took juniors and seniors to the Ogallala College Fair. The Buddy Mentor Program has begun. This program matches high school juniors and seniors with lower elementary students.

Discussion:
Mr. David Spencer's Superintendent's Report: Mr. Spencer reported about school budget and finance meetings, in-service for staff including CPR Training, Title IX Training, suicide/mental health training. He attended the MAC Conference meetings, inclusion and MTSS meetings. There has been discussion with Dr. McConnell about some remodeling to provide a safe space or a time-out room.

There was a discussion about the increase in property tax authority.

X.B. 2025-2026 School Budget
Discussion:
President Armstrong noted the item should be 2024-2025 instead of 2025-2026 School Budget and moved Item X.B. "2024-2025 School Budget" to discussion items. There was a discussion and review of state budget worksheets, SPPS budget and tax request. Mr. Spencer is attending a special joint public hearing for proposed property tax increases on September 19, 2024, at 6:15 at the Deuel County Courthouse. The budget cannot be approved before the meeting.

Discussion:
President Armstrong noted the item should be 2024-2025 instead of 2025-2026 Tax Request Resolution 230919 and moved Item X.C. "2024-2025 Tax Request Resolution 230919" to discussion items. There was a discussion about the tax request.
