COMMITTEE REPORTS: The Nebraska State School Board Convention is November 20-22. Mr. Spencer will register anyone who wants to attend. TRANSPORTATION: The Lodgepole bus received maintenance.

Discussion:
Mr. Nick Brost's Principal's Report: He provided the schedule of the Homecoming events for October 21-25. One-Act has 28 students out: 15 on cast and 13 crew members. The script is a dark comedy: Chemical Imbalance: A Jekyll and Hyde Play. The first performance is Nov. 9 in North Platte. Unified Bowling held the preseason meeting with 17 students attending. Congratulations to Students of the Month: Marshall Bonander, Brooke Moorhous, Deacon Hayward, Jayla Paulsen, Kaitlynn Brown, Zaerihya Doncheske. Mrs. Young and 29 students attended CSC Scholastic Day. South Platte finished 4th in our division. The following placed in the top 10: Emma Spiehs - 1st Personal Finance (Wins $500 Scholarship), Johanna Frerichs - 1st Education (Wins $500 Scholarship), Josie Schneider - 5th Human Development and Family Life, Madison Johnson - 9th Wildlife Ecology and Management, Luca Duncan - 2nd General Anatomy and Physiology, Dustine Fox - 5th Wildlife Ecology and Management, Jared Scherbarth - 4th Environmental Science, Quinten Koenen - 3rd PE and Sports Knowledge, Nathan Jacobs - 6th Physical Science, Brayden Einspahr - 10th Physical Science, Ella Stanley - 4th Nebraska History, Madisen Adams - 9th Veterinary Science, Emily Mulhollen - 9th Equine Management. High school and elementary buddies painted their Buddy shirts for homecoming week. Mr. Brost attended the MAC Superintendent/AD and the MAC Student Advisory Team meetings. The FFA team has attended a few contests; the results are pending. The South Platte representatives are Cordell Frerichs and Jadyn Babst. Several SPS athletes assisted with books and line ref at the JH MAC Conference. Officer Rushman has completed FTO training.

Discussion:
David Spencer's Superintendent's Report: He reported that the school budget and several state reports have been filed. K-6 learning field trips included "Pumpkin patch", 4th grade: "Animals inside and out," 6th grade: "Country study and meal."
SPPS is working with Safe to Help. Mr. Spencer is registered to attend the NASB State Conference Nov. 20-22. Lions Club eyes and ears screening is scheduled. The recycling challenge is completed. Two donated trees and sod are a new addition to the playground. The HS painted T-Shirts with K-3 Buddies for Homecoming. Mr. Brost and Mr. Spencer had Apptegy training. |
